Zachary C Mooberry

Zach was born on August 16, 1993, in Omaha, Nebraska to Donald and Lisa (Svoboda) Mooberry. The family lived in Yuma, Arizona before eventually moving to Lexington where he stayed from preschool to third grade and then to Kearney where Zach graduated from Kearney High School. During his time in high school, he enjoyed playing football.

Zach worked at various concrete jobs, Tom’s Midwest Liquor, Masterhand Milling and was a loader operator at Corn Husker Energy Ethanol Plant in Lexington.

Zach loved anything involving the outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt and shoot guns. His favorite animals to hunt were pheasants, deer, ducks and geese. Zach also greatly enjoyed the water. He liked boating and canoeing down the river and was also a certified scuba diver. His hobbies also included cruising around in his car while listening to music and skateboarding. He was also a dog lover and enjoyed having dogs as companions.

Zach is survived by his dad, Don Mooberry; sister, Caitlin Svoboda; grandmother, Deloris Svoboda; aunts, Chris Svoboda, Myrna Mooberry-Stanard; uncles, Tom Svoboda, Mike Svoboda, Tom Mooberry, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Zach is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa, Grandma and Grandpa Mooberry and Grandpa Svoboda, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Judy.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez, officiating. The service will be live-streamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.

Inurnment will be in the Grant Fairview Cemetery in Grant, Nebraska at a later date.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
