    Victor R. Stover, 88, of Kearney, Nebraska, died Monday, March 5, 2017, at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney.   He was born May 13, 1929, in Yakima, Washington, to Ernest and Stella (Woolsey) Stover. He graduated from Wapato High School in Wapato, Washington in 1947, and Vernon Junior College in Vernon, Texas.   He then went on to serve 20 years in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant, Flight Engineer, serving in Korea.   Victor met the love of his life in Texas, Jennifer Muirhead. The couple was married June 16, 1977, in Reno, Nevada. After their marriage they moved to the Overton/Holdrege area where he worked for Howard Philpot. He also drove the Overton School bus for 10 years on the A route. He also drove the bus to all the girls’ activities. The couple then traveled in their RV for six years, bought a home in Kearney in 1998. They then moved to Estes Park, Colorado for 20 months, returning to their forever home in Kearney.   Victor loved woodworking, gardening, puzzles, traveling, and being with family.   He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Kearney.   Survivors include his wife; Jennifer of Kearney, Nebraska; two daughters, Maria (Charles) Austen of Kearney, Nebraska; and, Michelle (Mike) Self of Kearney, Nebraska; two brothers; Delmar Stover of Holly Springs, Mississippi; and, David ( Delores) Stover of Maple Way, Washington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave (Garlan) Muirhead of Overton, Nebraska; five grandchildren; Damien Austen (Kennedy Hampton) of Kearney, Nebraska, Royce Austen of Kearney, Nebraska, Ashleigh Self (Fidel Kouassi) of Kearney, Nebraska, Michael Self of Gulf Port, Mississippi, and Terryn (Nate) Siegel of Litchfield, Nebraska; three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Naya, and Miri; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.   Victor was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene; and, sister, Virginia.   Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 9, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington, Nebraska with Linda L. Knipping officiating. Military Honors will be held following the service at the chapel.   Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Cremation will then take place.   Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.   Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
