Simon Mayorquin – Pardo, 68, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at his home.
He was born on June 8, 1953, in Pericos, Nayarit, Mexico, to Antonio Mayorquin and Maria De Jesus Pardo. At the age of 18, Simon moved to California where he harvested vegetables for area farmers.
Simon lived in Phoenix, Arizona, Texas and settled in Lexington, Nebraska in 1994, he started working at I.B.P (Tyson) and stayed with the company for twelve years. He became disabled and retired from the plant in 2010.
Simon enjoyed riding his bike, watching television, and fishing. He also liked taking care of his yard and working in the garden.
Survivors include his brother, Eleno Mayorquin of Lexington; his aunt, Albina Pardo of Mexico; as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
Simon was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez, officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
