Sandra Kay Hock of Cozad, NE passed away Thursday, February 20th while on vacation with her husband, Larry Hock.
Sandra was born in Ansley, NE in September of 1945. Sandra attended grade school and high school in Ansley, NE and graduated in 1963. She then attended Kearney State College and received her Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Education from that institution. Sandra taught at Ravenna High School for 3 years and at Kearney Public Schools for 17 years. She then taught and served as a Guidance Counselor at Lexington Public Schools for a total of 14 years. She also served the Lexington Community as a CASA volunteer and later taught at the Central Community College in Lexington.
Sandra was an avid golfer, shopper, exerciser, gardener, home decorator, bridge player, traveler and a dear friend to many. Her true love was following the athletic and dance careers and competitions of her grandkids and nieces and nephews. No distance was too great to find Grammy Sandy in the stands rooting on her beloved family members.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Phylbert Scott of Westerville, NE and her sister Dee Ann Lewis (Joe) of Alliance, NE.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 40 years Larry Hock, sons Scott (Lisa) Kulhanek of Pleasanton, NE and Cort Kulhanek (Carolyn) of Lexington, NE, her step son Thad of Phoenix, AZ, her sister Jeannie Ramsey (Don) of Aurora, NE, her brother Edwin (Ruth) of Colorado Springs, CO and (7) grandchildren and (2) great grandchildren and a large extended family of adored Nieces and Nephews and their children.
