Ruth Lee Pruitt

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Ruth ‘Lee’ Pruitt, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who went home to be with the Lord on December 8th, 2024, at the age of 88. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Charlie, in Heaven.

Lee was a woman of deep faith, grace, and unwavering love. A devoted Christian, she lived her life with kindness, humility, and a steadfast belief in the goodness of others. Her love for her family, especially her treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren, was boundless, and she took great joy in watching them grow and thrive. Her legacy of faith, warmth, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A lover of all things furry, Lee had a special place in her heart for cats, finding comfort and companionship in their gentle presence. She also had a passion for thrifting, always uncovering the most unique and special treasures. And of course, she had an enduring love for bananas and all things banana-flavored, a simple pleasure she truly cherished.

Lee was a woman who made everyone feel at home, loved, and accepted. Her infectious smile and laugh will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie and great grandchild Mason Williams. 

She is survived by her children Jerry Pruitt (Kelly), Garry Pruitt (Tonya), and Sherry Hebron (Ted), grandchildren Jeremy Pruitt (Veronica), Bryan Pruitt, Lindsay Ortiz (Abe), Dazerine Pruitt, Caden Holmes, and Aslynd Hall (Thomas), great grandchildren Austin Pruitt, Maria Pruitt, Lex Ortiz (Mariah), Luke Ortiz, Anaiah Ortiz, Daisy Holladay, Bowie Hall, and countless siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

A celebration of her life will be held at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, NE on December 20th, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Rex Adams, officiating. There will be a luncheon to follow. 

Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor.
