Roberto Cordero, de 72 años, de Lexington, Nebraska, falleció el viernes 18 de diciembre de 2020 en Kearney Regional Medical Center.

Roberto nació el 27 de enero de 1948 en Chiquimula, Guatemala, hijo de Eliseo y Dominga (Molina) Cordero. Se graduó de la escuela secundaria en Guatemala. Roberto se unió en matrimonio a Delia Molina Rogue en octubre de 1970. Fueron bendecidos con cuatro hijos, Edna, Yudi, Christian y Jimmy.

En 1981, Roberto se mudó a los Estados Unidos con su esposa, Delia en 1982. Vivieron en Torrance, California, antes de mudarse a Lexington, Nebraska en 1999, para estar más cerca de la familia. Roberto era el pastor de la iglesia Cristo Viene en Lexington y también era dueño y operaba Mary's Fashion en el centro de Lexington con su esposa, Delia.

A Roberto le gustaba tener un hermoso jardín y plantar tomates. Tenía una vasta colección de figuritas que iban desde perros y elefantes. Era un sastre talentoso y musicalmente talentoso y siempre disfrutó cantando y tocando el teclado.

Su familia, iglesia y fe siempre fueron una parte importante de su vida. Sobre todo, Roberto ha dejado un tremendo legado de amor y fe a su familia.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su esposa de cincuenta años, Delia de Lexington; sus hijos, Edna (Robert) Callejas de Lexington, Yudi (Erick) Bran de Kearney, Christian (Trina) Cordero de Kearney y Jimmy (Karen Cardenas) Cordero de Kearney; dos nietos y uno en camino; sus hermanos, Raúl, Isias, Ovidio, Oscar, Yolanda (Miguel), Sara e Iris; así como sobrinas, sobrinos y muchos amigos.

A Roberto le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y su hermana, Ofelia.

Los servicios funerales serán el lunes 28 de diciembre de 2020 a las 2:00 pm en la iglesia Dios Es Amor en Lexington con el pastor Santos Ordóñez y el pastor Carlos Bonilla, oficiando. El funeral se transmitirá en vivo a través de la página de Facebook de Reynolds-Love Funeral Home.

Se requiere máscara para cubrirse el rostro en la iglesia.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el domingo 27 de diciembre de 2020 de 1 a 7 pm en Reynolds-Love Funeral Home en Lexington.

El sepelio será en el cementerio de Greenwood en Lexington.

Roberto Cordero, 72, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Kearney Regional Medical Center.

Roberto was born on January 27, 1948, in Chiquimula, Guatemala, to Eliseo and Dominga (Molina) Cordero. He graduated from High School in Guatemala. Roberto was united in marriage to Delia Molina Rogue in October of 1970. They were blessed with four children, Edna, Yudi, Christian and Jimmy.

In 1981, Roberto moved to the United States with his wife, Delia following in 1982. They lived in Torrance, California, before moving to Lexington, Nebraska in 1999, to be closer to family. Roberto was the Pastor at Cristo Viene Church in Lexington and also owned and operated Mary’s Fashion in downtown Lexington with his wife, Delia.

Roberto enjoyed keeping a beautiful yard and planting tomatoes. He had a vast collection of figurines which ranged from dogs and elephants. He was talented tailor and was musically talented and always enjoyed singing and playing his keyboard.

His family, church and faith were always an important part of his life. Above all, Roberto has left a tremendous legacy of love, and faith to his family.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Delia of Lexington; his children, Edna (Robert) Callejas of Lexington, Yudi (Erick) Bran of Kearney, Christian (Trina) Cordero of Kearney and Jimmy Cordero of Kearney; two grandchildren with one on the way; his siblings, Raul, Isias, Ovidio, Oscar, Yolanda (Miguel), Sara and Iris; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Roberto was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ofelia.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Dios Es Amor Church in Lexington with Pastor Santos Ordonez and Pastor Carlos Bonilla, officiating. The Funeral Service will be live-steamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.

Face coverings will be required at the church.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 1-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
