Richard L Jorgenson

Richard L. Jorgenson, 75, of Callaway, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Callaway Good Life Center.

He was born January 31, 1945 in Gothenburg, NE to Marvin and Bernice (Peterson) Jorgenson. Rich lived on the family farm north of Gothenburg.

Rich graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1963. On July 12, 1964, he married Molle Headley in Cozad, Nebraska. Two children were blessed to this marriage: Ward A. and Todd L.

Rich, also known as Digger by many, owned and operated Jorgenson Well Drilling for many years. He also worked at the Co-op in Callaway and Orthman Manufacturing located in Lexington. Rich farmed and enjoyed working with his cattle.

Rich was an active participant of the Callaway Community Church.

Survivors include two sons; Ward (Diane) Jorgenson of Kearney, Nebraska and Todd (Lori) Jorgenson of Bridgeton, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Lea and Hannah Jorgenson and Carly and Jenna Jorgenson; three brothers, Gary (Janice) of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Charles (Cindy), and Neil (Suzy), all of Callaway, Nebraska; as well as nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Molle.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Callaway Community Church with Pastor Dean Haidle, officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at the Callaway Community Church.

Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway.

Memorials are suggested to the Callaway Community Church.
