Nadia M. Meyer, 88, of Callaway, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Callaway Good Life Center surrounded by her loving family.

Nadia was born in Kearney, Nebraska on September 13, 1936, to James and Frances (Kring) Williams. She received her education from Kearney public schools, graduating from Kearney High School with the class of 1954. She then went on to further her education at Kearney State College for two years.

While attending Kearney State College, Nadia met the love of her life, Jerry Meyer. They were united in marriage on March 31, 1956, at the Methodist Church in Kearney. Three children were blessed to this union: Jeffrey, Randal and Jeri Rae. The family would make their home in Lodgepole, Elwood, and Overton, before settling in Callaway in 1959. Nadia was always hard at work, keeping busy raising her family while also working for The Elevator, Callaway Courier, and being a receptionist at the Callaway Medical Clinic.

Jerry and Nadia purchased a cabin at Johnson Lake and spent many fun-filled weekends with the family. She loved being by the water and enjoying the peace and quiet with her family by her side.

Early in life, Nadia enjoyed her time as a Cub Scout Leader. She also loved volunteering for the Art Department at the Callaway Public Schools. Nadia had a passion for arts and crafts. She was meticulous with her sewing and quilting and always had baked goods ready to be eaten.

Survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, Jerry of Callaway; her children, Jeffrey (Wendie) Meyer of Wynot, Randal (Roxane) Meyer of Callaway and Jeri Rae McKinzie of Callaway; six grandchildren, Ashlee (Aaron) Nunnenkamp of Grand Island, Jeffrey Meyer of Omaha, Andrew McKinzie of Broken Bow, Zachary (Kendra) Meyer of Callaway, Hannah (Jacob) Parsons of Merna, and Abbigail McKinzie of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Trenton and Carlee Deeds, Tristan Robinson-Meyer, Sylas Clapsaddle, Connor McKinzie, Georgia and Lula Meyer, Penny and Oliver Parsons; her siblings, Sandy Towne of Sweet Springs, Missouri, and Richard "Butch" (Carolyn) Williams of Gering; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
