Mary Ann (Dodson) Klein, 73, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Elwood Care Center in Elwood. She was born October 29, 1943, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, to Charles and Opal (Roe) Moore. She graduated from Elm Creek High School, and then attended Beauty School in Kearney. She was united in marriage to Gene Dodson in April 7, 1967, in Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. He passed away on August 1, 1972. She then was married to Kenneth Klein on June 10, 1978, in Lexington. The marriage later ended in divorce. During Mary Ann’s working years, she worked on the farm when she was young, did leatherwork for many years with Kenneth, they owned and operated a shoe repair business, and finished her career at Wal-Mart after 17 years. Mary Ann absolutely loved crocheting, knitting, gardening, beading, and leatherwork. She loved animals, but her most enjoyable times were always spent with family. Mary Ann moved to Elwood Care Center the first part of October of this year due to failing health. Prior to that, she was a vibrant woman who always had a smile, a kind word for everyone, and an unfailing love for her family. She will be so missed. Survivors include her children; Nathan Klein of Holdrege, Nebraska, Ken Klein (Jodi Jorschumb) of Eustis, Nebraska, Steve (Ann) Klein of Paxton, Nebraska, Bill Klein of Stapleton, Nebraska, Kelly (Bernard) Smith of Elwood, Nebraska, Michelle Smith (Michael Janda) of Eagle, Nebraska, Rebecca Klein of Eddyville, Nebraska; two brothers, George (Lucy) Moore of Overton, Nebraska, and Calvin (Jean) Moore of Elm Creek, Nebraska; one sister, Beverly (Albert) Crowell of Elm Creek, Nebraska; twenty-one grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was preceded in death in addition to her husbands, by three sisters and one brother, one grandson, one granddaughter, and two great-grandsons. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 16, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Mike Millican officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be Sunday, October 15, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
