Maria Valtierra Montesinos, 92, of Lexington passed away at her home Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in Lexington.
Maria was born June 8, 1929, in Irapuato GTO, Mexico to Timoteo and Porfiria ( Montersinos) Valtierra.
She spent some time in Rock Island Illinois in her early days then returned to Mexico and in 2010 moved to Lexington to be near her family.
She attended the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington.
She loved to sew and made many of her own clothes, but most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons: Paul Rea and Jaime Aldaco (Jennie Gonzales), two daughters: Elvira (Raul Morales) Rea and Angelical (Martin Lopez) Aldaco, one sister, Eufemia Valtierra Montesinos, grandchildren; Raquel Najera, Eduardo Morales, Raul Morales Jr., Emmanuel Morales, Melissa Rehkamp, Kristina Kid, Jesus Lopez and Angelica Lopez, greatgrandchildren: Yasmin Delgado, Beatrice Alvardo, Sofia Corado, René Corado, Ineida Carado, Eddy Morales, Jr., Olivia Morales, Izzy Morales, Evelynn Morales, Natalie Morales, Alexander Morales, Anthony Morales, Adeline Morales, Harley Morales, Nolan Morales, Everett Kidd, Teddy Kidd, Clara Kidd, Eduardo Godinez, Emily Godinez, great-great-grandchildren: Lionel and Mateo Delgado.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 14, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Jose Chavez, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Ann’s Cemetery at Lexington.
