Marguerite "Liz" Devlin

Marguerite "Liz" Devlin, 80, of Callaway, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Callaway Good Life Center in Callaway, Nebraska.

She was born on May 13, 1944, in Beaumont, Texas to Harvey and Mary (Holt) Dearman. She attended public school and graduated from Beaumont High School. Liz was united in marriage to James Stuart Duplichan in Beaumont, Texas. To this union, two sons were born: James "Tony", and David. The marriage would later end in divorce. Liz found love again and was united in marriage to Jim Devlin and the family made their home in New Caney, Texas. This marriage would later end in divorce. Liz transitioned to Houston and Livingston, Texas before making her home in Oconto, Nebraska to be closer to her family.

 Liz spent many years working as a manager for various Chevron Gas Stations. When she wasn't busy working, she enjoyed spending time fishing and building her own delectable recipes. She was known to be an exceptional cook. Family was incredibly important to Liz, and she always held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, and great grandchildren who were her entire world.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, James "Tony" (Jody) Duplichan of Oconto, and Wayne Wall of Texas; grandchildren, Summer (Austin) Bell, Sarah, Brooke (David Mcclelland) Duplichan, Hailey, Rebecca, Stormy, John, Triston, Ryan (Pauline), Nolan, and Dusty; great-grandchildren, Allie, Eva, Ella, Chloe, Kylah, Jeffery, Divina, David, Conner, Damien, Kyden, Daniel, Easton, Ashton, Corbin & Clair; brothers, Robert Dearman, and Mitchell (Linda) Dearman, both of Mississippi, as well as extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, Liz was preceded in death by her son, David, sister, Marie, and grandson, Derek.

A Celebration of Life Service for Liz with family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Oconto Legion Center in Oconto with a lunch provided.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
