Manuel Quinonez, 70, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 in Lexington. He was born March 16, 1948 in Arroyo Seco De Arriba, Zacatecas, Mexico to Eulogio and Soledad (Hernandez) Quinonez. At the age of 25, Manuel moved from Mexico to Los Angeles, California. Manuel was united in marriage to Carmen del Rio. Three children were blessed to this union: Jose Luis, Soledad and Cristina. The family lived in Los Angeles before moving to Lexington, Nebraska in 1992. Manuel worked at Tyson Meat Packing Plant as a Meat Processor. Manuel was very good at wood working. Many pieces in their house were made by him throughout the years. He was also a good musician, playing the trumpet and trombone. He had a wry sense of humor and enjoyed a good board game with his family. Survivors include his wife, Carmen of Lexington, Nebraska; son, Jose Luis (Kiesha) Quinonez of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; two daughters, Soledad (Trista Schamberger) Quinonez of Lincoln, Nebraska and Cristina Quinonez of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren, Ruben, Marissa, and Aimirah Quinonez, and Jaydon Kohn; one brother, Benjamin Quinonez of Colorado; two sisters, Alicia and Socorro Quinonez of Mexico. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents. Mass Of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez, officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
