The family moved to Wyoming during the depression period of the 30’s to homestead. Elna completed her final years of school in Dubois and graduating from Shoshone High School. Elna was the oldest out of five with two brothers and sisters. Elna’s passions growing up were rodeos, her horse Partner and dancing. She met Clyde Weston in Shoshone, Wyoming. Clyde shared the same passions which they carried on into their marriage in 1942. The union with Clyde brought with it four step children, Anna, Bobby, Charlie and Wayne. Their marriage also blessed them with two sons David and Gary. Elna lived her adult life in Alliance, Nebraska, Meridian, Idaho and Lexington, Nebraska. Family and friends were of prime importance to Elna. She loved to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elna loved riding horses, gardening, crocheting, dancing and country western music. She and Clyde went to dances every weekend. Her fondest memories were when she along with her horse Pardner would sneak up on the herds of wild horses and watch them for hours! She along with Pardner can now spend eternity watching the herds in the Wind River Mountain Range, listening to country music, dancing with her favorite dance partner, Clyde, and sharing her stories with all the rest of the family that preceded before her.
