Linda Lorraine Stiver

    Linda Lorraine Stiver, 94, of Callaway, Nebraska, formerly of Mitchell, Nebraska, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Grand Generation Manor in Callaway.   Linda was born August 8, 1923 in Mitchell, Nebraska, to Henry Ward and Nellie Mae (Adams) Stiver.   Linda went to Trail School, was a Children’s Evangelist for 50 years with Mildred Larsen. While in the ministry she traveled all over spreading God’s word, she spent a lot of time and prayer for those she came in contact with whether they were in need or just because. Linda was a loving God caring lady, which showed throughout her life. She was always eager to spread the gospel to anyone and everyone. Linda was in the Callaway Grand Generation Manor spreading God’s word to everyone there and with the visitors.   She loved flowers, cooking, and baking, and sharing with others. She counted it a privilege to conduct Bible studies at the Good Samaritan Center in Callaway. She also enjoyed being a part of the ladies bible study group in Callaway. These ladies were special friends. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She loved her family and also her church family. They were very special to her. She was a member of the Callaway Senior Citizens.   Linda is survived by two brothers; Frank (Edith) Stiver of Mitchell, Nebraska, and Dale (Darlene) Stiver of Aurora, Colorado; also surviving are nephews; Ken Stiver of Mitchell, Nebraska, Justin Stiver (Jenna) and Alexandra of Cozad, Nebraska, Aaron Stiver (Estrella) and Sofia of Lexington, Nebraska, Doug Stiver (Michelle) of California, Dan Houser (Brenda) of Mitchell, Nebraska, Phillip Houser of North Carolina whom is serving overseas in the Air Force, and Taylor Houser of South Carolina serving in the Marines; nieces; Elaine Houser-Hart (Bob) of Mitchell, Nebraska, and Brenda Knaub (Mike) of Gering, Nebraska.   Preceding Linda in death were her parents; three brothers, Keith, Allen and Henry Ward Stiver, Jr.; one sister, Patricia Glade Stiver.   Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow, Nebraska with Reverend Rick Johnson officiating.   Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.   Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway, Nebraska with Reverend Ron Masten officiating.   Memorials are suggested to the Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow, or Bibles for Missions Program.   Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
