Joyce Irene Royle

    Joyce Irene Royle, 75, of Lincoln, Nebraska, former Lexington resident, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at The Ambassador in Lincoln.   She was born June 15, 1942, in Mitchell, Nebraska, she was adopted by Arthur and Della (Young) Hughes. She grew up in Ravenna, Nebraska where she attended school. Joyce was united in marriage to Loren N. Royle on May 25, 1958, in Hazard, Nebraska. Six children were born to this marriage, Loren, Leroy, Debra, Glen, Niels, and Becki.   The family lived in Ravenna, Litchfield, and Denver, Colorado before they settled in Lexington in November of 1978. She worked for Sperry New Holland for a time as well as other odd jobs around town. Joyce was a Licensed Beautician for over 26 years, and worked at Village Court beauty Salon. She did purchase the shop in 1996.   In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, reading romance novels, but she mostly enjoyed being with her family, especially the grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.   Joyce so loved her customers, they were like family to her, and she will be very missed by all who knew and loved her.   She is survived two sons, Loren D. Royle of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Glen E. Royle of Fort Collins, Colorado: two daughters, Debra A. Abrams of Elm Creek, Nebraska, and Becki J. (Scott) Meredith of Lincoln, Nebraska: two grandchildren, Aaron J. Reimers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Andrea (Alex) McDaniel of Elm Creek, Nebraska: two great-grandchildren, Gage & Madden.   Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, two sons, Leroy and Niels; and one brother, Harry.   Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Rob Kuefner officiating.   Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington.   Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 5-7 pm. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.   Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.   Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
