Jose Francisco Acosta

Jose F. Acosta, 65, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 3, 1954 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico to Francisco and Evangelina (Moreno) Acosta.

Jose was united in marriage to Bessy Garcia on October 4, 2005 in Lexington. Two children were blessed to this union: Francisco and Genesis.

He lived in California before settling in Lexington. Jose worked at Tyson Fresh Meats for twenty years in processing.

Jose was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers and Santos Laguna soccer team. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Bessy of Lexington; his children, Francisco and Genesis of Lexington, Veronica Acosta of California and Sandra Acosta of Mexico; two brothers, Victor (Maria Elena) Acosta of Mexico and Juan Alberto (Luz) Acosta of Mexico; six sisters, Teresa Acosta of Mexico, Martha Estrada of California, Esther Acosta of California, Laura Acosta of Mexico, Patricia Acosta of Mexico and Virginia Acosta of Mexico; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eva and Lili; and a nephew, Marco Estrada.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Santos Ordonez, officiating. The funeral service will be streamed live on the Reynolds Love Facebook page.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
