Janice Lee Nelson - Byrns

Janice Lee Warner Nelson - Byrns, 70, of Maxwell, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Linden Court, in North Platte.

Janice was born February 24, 1954 in McCook Nebraska to parents Jerry and Arvida (Weatherwax) Warner. She attended school in Beaver City and graduated in 1972. After that she went to Fairbury Jr College. In 1991 she attended massage therapy school and got her license to practice massage.

Jan married John Nelson in 1979 and they had daughter Hannah. John passed in 1992. Jan remarried to Robert Byrns in 1999.

Jan loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She had a love for Jesus like no other and loved talking about faith and prayer. She loved to garden and be in nature watching and listening to birds. She loved her dogs and cats.

Janice was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughter Hannah (J.C.) of Maxwell, sister Joni of Hastings, sister Nancy (Jack) of Beaver City, brother Scott (Kim) of Kansas City, stepson Ben (Sammi) of North Platte, stepdaughter Beth of Lincoln, grandchildren (6), many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Lexington with Pastor Rex Adams, officiating.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Lexington.
