Helen Florence Townsend

Mrs. Helen Florence Townsend, age 95 passed away at The Plum Creed Care Center in Lexington, NE. Helen was born in Cody, NE on October 3, 1925. Her parents were Bart and Leona Freeman. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Robert Townsend, one son William case of Cozad, NE., twelve brothers, and 4 sisters. She is survived by two sons, Robert Johnson of Loomis, NE, Jim Townsend of Valentine, NE, and one daughter, Shirley Hazen of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by nine Grandchildren, eighteen Great Grandchildren, sixteen Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation, as the family is honoring Helen’s wish for cremation. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Methodist Church in Ainsworth with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
