Geraldine May Jorn, 91, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Lexington Regional Health Center in Lexington.

She was born on May 10, 1933, in Gosper County, Nebraska, to John R. and Nellie May (Haworth) Michel. She attended school in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1951.

Geraldine was united in marriage to Jerry L. Jorn on June 26, 1955, in Lexington. Two children were blessed into this union: Jeffrey and Julie. This marriage would later end in divorce. Geraldine spent many years working for the welfare office, Telephone Company, and Universal Underwriters, Co. before her retirement. She lived in both Omaha and Denver until 1997 when she made her home in Lexington to be closer to family.  Geraldine worked volunteering at the Grand Generation Center and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. In her free time, Geraldine enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with her friends and family, spending quality time with those she cared for the most.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Jorn of Aurora, Colorado; son-in-law, Sewell Everett of Statesville, North Carolina; sister, Lois Carr of Lexington; along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Besides her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Everett; siblings, Phyllis and Roger Mueller, and Carol and Carl Lofushult, and Eugene and Peggy Michel.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, with Reverend Eddie Mariel, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the Grand Generation Center, the First Presbyterian Church or Donor's Choice.
