Geraldine M. Cook, 86, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Havelock Manor in Lincoln. She was born April 15, 1932 in Burwell, Nebraska to Edward and Frances (Wunderlinch) Franssen. Geraldine was the fourth child out of sixteen. She was united in marriage to Leo L. Cook on September 23, 1948 in Greeley, Nebraska. Twelve children were blessed to this union: Frank, Stella, Garry, Larry, Charlie, Peg, Mike, Mary, Barb, David, Paul and Amy. The family moved to Lexington in 1957. Geraldine was homemaker and raised her children. Geraldine belonged to The Penny Pinchers extension club, also belonged and participated in St. Ann's Catholic Church. She loved singing in the choir or anywhere that would let her sing "God Bless America" She brought joy where ever she went with great smiles and many memories of being a mother of so many. Survivors include her children, Frank (Sandy) Cook of Bakers City, Oregon, Garry Cook of Cozad, Nebraska, Charlie Cook of Kearney, Nebraska, Peg (Jim) Dancer of Cameron, Missouri, Mike (Julie) Cook of Boise, Idaho, Barb (Dennis) Barnhill of Lincoln, Nebraska, David (Chris) Cook of Greenwood, Nebraska, Paul (Chad) Cook of San Diego, California and Amy Bohannon of Memphis Tennessee; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Dan Dargaloh of Milford, Nebraska; as well as siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; daughters, Mary and Stella, and a son, Larry. Mass Of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Matt Koperski, officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
