Gayleen J. (Rork) Brown, 81, of Roselle, Illinois, formerly of Arlington Heights, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois. She was born July 24, 1937, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Chester and Rachel (White) Rork. Mrs. Brown was a loving wife, dedicated mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Barrington United Methodist Church and a former member of Southminster Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights and the Eastern Star. Gayeen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald L. Brown; her children Dixie D. (Donald) Trevarthen, Bill (Kathy) Rich, James P. and Angela S. (Erik) Heuser; her grandchildren, James, Robyn, Matthew, Chris, Shannon, Alyssa, Dylan, Shaun, Alec, Colby, and Peyton; and her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Jaxson, Parker, Mackenzi, and Bradley. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Alita Slater. Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington, Nebraska. Graveside Services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington with Reverend Polly Deppen-Williams officiating.
