Edward "Ed" Jensen was born in Pampa, TX on May 23, 1939 to Soren Jensen, Sr. & Eula Nora Shapard Jensen.
He attended school in Pampa, graduating in 1957. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for 3 years, being honorably discharged in 1960.
In 1962 he married Ruby Louise Burch. To this union, two daughters were born, Katherine and Karoline. In 1966 the family moved to Harbor City, CA where he worked in a Machine Shop. That marriage ended in divorce in 1972.
That same year he met Carol Hubka at a Parents Without Partners dance. They were married in 1980. Carol pre-deceased him in 2011.
Ed is survived by his daughters Katherine Hullum, Karoline (Paul) Mantz, and Carol's daughters Sue Batie and Patricia "Tricia" Luse. In addition, he is survived by grandchildren Jennifer (Chris) Baldwin, Shawna (Adam) Mendez, Danny (Nicole) Jensen,
Derek (Keri) Jacobs, Dylan Mantz, and Summer (Kelsey) Mantz and many Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by nephew Greg (Katy) Jensen, Margaret (James) Denton, Valerie Wells, Kirsten Jensen, and Jon (Jeannne-Ann) Jensen, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Ed is predeceased by his parents, Soren Jensen, Sr., and Eula Jensen, by his brothers Howard (Marge) Jensen, Soren (Lindy) Jensen, Jr. and his sister Ina Louise Wells. Also predeceasing him is his first wife, Ruby Louise Jensen, and his second wife Carol Jensen.
In addition to the above, there to greet him in Heaven are his many dogs, Tippie, Little Bit, Sam, Bill, Dusty, and Sky.
Ed transitioned from working in a Machine Shop as an ID/OD Grinder to Machine Tool Sales, working for Bruewiler Tool Sales, and the Tool Company in both Outside and Inside Tool Sales positions. He also enjoyed his Second Job working for Lowe's in the Small Tools Department.
Ed attended La Mirada United Methodist Church (La Mirada, CA). His hobbies included golf, gardening, throwing the football with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and of course loving on his dogs, one of which was a licensed Therapy Dog. Ed and Carol enjoyed taking Dusty to Nursing Homes on a regular basis.
Ed will be laid to rest next to Carol in Overton, NE.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, January, 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Overton Cemetery.
