Don Chase Allen

Don Chase Allen, 83 of Lexington passed Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Lexington Regional Health Center. He was born August 20, 1938 in Blythedale, Missouri to Bob and Clara (Moore) Allen. He attended high school and graduated in Wichita, Kansas in 1957. On July 22, 1958 he entered the US Army and was honorably discharged on August 1, 1961. On September 18, 1964 he was united in marriage to Darlene Ann Wilder. To this union three children were born; Dee, Debra and David. The couple lived in Wichita, Kansas, Anacortes, Washington, Udhailiyah, Saudi Arabia and then moved back to Missouri before settling in Lexington, Nebraska. Don was a jack of all trades and had many different jobs including Aramco (Arabian American Oil Company) where he worked in the gas and oil separation plants, then at Coleman Powermate where he worked in tool and dye he then retired from Dawson Feeders Incorporated, where he was a mechanic. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren & great-grandchildren grow. He also loved Nascar and watched every Sunday. He liked to keep busy and was always there for all those who were around him. He was ornery and very loving. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Darlene, daughters: Dee (Kenny) Seberger of Lexington, Debra Turner of Overton, son; David Allen of Missouri, two sisters; Shirley Wright and Carol Price, two brothers; Jack Allen and Roy Allen, Grandchildren: Courtney (Seth) Seberger of Broken Bow, Kyle (Courtney) Seberger of Elwood, Nick (Courtney) Seberger of Lexington, Kristian (Kaitlin) Seberger of Cozad, Brandon (and special friend, Hannah) Seberger of Lexington, Nathan Seberger of Grand Island, Tyler Zeleski of Oconto, Zachary (Grace) Zeleski of Overton, Dylan (Skylar) Zeleski of Loomis, Rebecca Zeleski of Overton, and Damien (Jovanna) Allen of Dover, Delaware, four great-granddaughters; Lilah, Kennedy, Briella & BethLynn and three great-grandsons: Dalton, Able and Grayton. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Bob & Clara Allen, brother; Robert Allen, in laws: Floyd and Edith Wilder, brothers-in-law: Jack Wilder, Edwin Wilder and James Wilder, sisters-in-law: Beverly Streeter, Helen Wilder and Betty Wilder and a granddaughter, Kristina Allen. It was Don’s wishes to be cremated and no services are planned.
