Daniel Rolando Ortega Marroquin

With faith in God’s plan, we mourn the loss of Daniel Rolando Ortega, who was called home to the Lord on March 4, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on September 20, 1962, in Guatemala, Daniel was a man of unwavering faith, always eager to share God's word with those around him. His generous heart and kind spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Daniel found great joy in attending church, studying Scripture, and spending cherished moments with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He had a natural gift for making friends wherever he went, and his hardworking, trustworthy nature made him someone people could always count on. Never one to sit idle, Daniel was always seeking ways to stay busy and lend a helping hand to those in need.

Daniel’s legacy of kindness, love, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those he touched. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Mirta Rodas de Ortega of Lexington, NE; his children, Noe Ortega, Jennifer Ortega of Chelsea, Massachusetts, Evelin Ortega of Omaha, NE Daniel Ortega and wife Maria Ortega of Fort Worth, Texas and Jose Ortega of Omaha, NE. His grandchildren, Yorick Ortega, Joshua Ortega, Keysha Ortega, Noelia Ortega, Helen Ortega, Isaac Ortega, Julian Ortega, Angy Ortega, Jimena Ortega, Emma Ortega, Danilo Ortega, Valerie Ortega and Camila Ortega.

A visitation will be held on March 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, NE, where family and friends will come together to honor and celebrate Daniel’s life. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Guatemala, fulfilling his wish to return home.
