Dallas M Rigler

Dallas M. Rigler, 80, of Callaway, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in his home.

Dallas was born on January 14, 1942 in Oak Park, Illinois to Dallas Rigler, Jr. and June Murdoch. He was raised at 23W714 St. Charles Road. He graduated from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with the class of 1961.

On June 21, 1997, Dal was united in marriage to Janice Sherman in Fountain, Colorado. That same year he moved back to Callaway with his new wife. Dal held a number of jobs in Callaway over the years including the village café, Farmland Service Coop Propane, the Good Life Center, and for the last 13 years, he worked as a ranch hand/mechanic for the Jenkin’s Ranch. Dal was a hard, committed worker at whatever job he undertook.

Dal loved his family very much. He enjoyed traveling and camping, bringing his family out to the Jenkin’s ranch to ride horses, and watching his favorite TV shows.

Survivors include his wife, Janice of Callaway; daughter, Kathy (Paul) DeCarlo of Grayslake, Illinois; brothers, Henry (Carol) Rigler of Benton, Arkansas, Ken (Connie) Rigler of Callaway, Larry (Betsy) Rigler of Oregon, Illinois and Garry Rigler of West Chicago, Illinois; brother-in-law, Nicolas Karales of West Chicago, Illinois; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Bubba.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margie Karales; brother, David S. Rigler; and daughter, Mickie Rogers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 5-7 p.m, at the Timm-Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Callaway, Nebraska

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Callaway United Methodist Church in Callaway, Nebraska with Pastor Jeff Hale and Ken Pitkin, officiating.
