Beverly Elaine (Hatcher) Anderson, 88, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at her home.
She was born October 24, 1933 to Corwin Glen and Esther Lucille (McNulty) Hatcher in Cozad, Nebraska. Beverly graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1950 and enjoyed getting together with classmates over the years. One of her first jobs was working at a small café near the high school called the Hutt Sut.
She was united in marriage to Richard Anderson on June 10, 1951 at the Cozad First United Methodist Church and were blessed with three children, Creig, Jo and Richard. She worked as a proof-reader for the Lexington Clipper Herald and later at Farmers State Bank and Home Federal Savings and Loan in Lexington.
Bev loved reading, especially about Princess Diana, Royalty and the First Ladies. She loved crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy, at which she was pretty darn good. Nana Bev’s door and kitchen were always open with good things to eat.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lexington for many years and served on several different committees.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard of fifty-one years; three brothers, Ronald, Corwin and Gary; and a great-grandson, Jackson Mossburgh.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Creig (Cayla) Anderson of Centralia, Missouri, Jo (Bob) Keim of Lexington and Richard (Kandy) Anderson of Alva, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Twyla (Kurt) Gengebach Spring, Texas and her brother, Jim (Lynn) Hatcher of Johnson Lake.
The family wants to thank her life-long friends, Frank and Eileen Zlatkovsky and special friend, Dick Hanson, for all the joy they brought into her life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Shanon Williams, officiating.
A Memorial Book Signing with family receiving friends will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
