Betty Mae Halouska

Betty Mae Halouska, 79, of Callaway, Nebraska passed away on July 11, 2022, at Emerald Nursing & Rehab in Cozad, Nebraska.

Betty was born on July 20, 1942, in Ogden, Utah to Henry and Frances Louise (Morris) Bradbury.

In 1970, Betty moved to Elwood where she would raise her four children: Troy, Lori, Shelly, and Sandy. In 1986, Betty fell in love and married Wayne Kenneth Halouska. Betty and Wayne spent most of their time truck driving and lived in various locations before finally settling in Callaway in 1993. Once they settled in Callaway, Betty and Wayne began working in construction.

Betty had a great love for the outdoors. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, camping, and fishing with her family

Survivors include her son, Troy (Amber) Stauffer of Royse City, Texas; daughters, Lori (Ken Hansen) Stauffer of Page, Arizona, Shelly (Ray Roper) Forrest of Dallas, Texas, and Sandy (Allen) Nichols of Cozad, Nebraska; sister, Jean (Elmer) James of Minden, Utah; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Gage) Stroney, Garrett Stauffer, Michael Forrest, Lori Roper, Trevor (Kelsey) Nichols, Ashley (Jerry) Kincheloe and Colby Nichols as well as eight great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne and in-laws, Ed and Lillian Halouska.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for a later designation.
