Avery Grace Mendiola

Avery Grace Mendiola, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a tragic accident at Johnson Lake at the young age of 3.

Avery was born on August 29, 2017, to parents Anthony and Maria (Garcia) Mendiola, in North Platte, Nebraska. Her family lived in North Platte until 2019, when they moved to Lexington to be closer to family.

Avery was sassy, with her infectious smile and contagious laugh. She was active, outgoing and always ready for any adventure with her family and friends. She loved going to the park, picking flowers, water painting, and singing. Her favorite song was “Sunflower” by Post Malone. Her favorite colors were pink and purple. She loved hearts, cats and anything Unicorn.

Avery was looking forward to turning four and couldn’t wait to attend school. She loved spending time with her family, especially her siblings and cousins. Avery was a Daddy’s girl, and showed those around her what it truly looks like to live and love to the fullest.

Left to cherish her memory; her mother and father, Anthony and Maria Mendiola of Lexington; her brothers, Shane Pearsall of North Platte and Aiden Mendiola of Lexington; her sister, Rose Mary Pearsall of North Platte; her grandparents, Pete Mendiola, Jr., of Fresno, California, Lissa Gonzales of Johnson Lake and Naomi Adame of Madera, California; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many, many friends.

Avery was preceded in death by her grandpa, Raymond Garcia, Jr.

A Celebration of Life Service for Avery Grace Mendiola will be on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
