Arturo Cabral Ruiz, 56, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 unexpectedly at his home.
He was born on November 8, 1965 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Antonio and Carmen (Cabral) Ruiz. Arturo moved to Lexington in 1989, where he started working for I.B.P. He made his home in Lexington and had three children, Luis, Luz, and Carmen.
In 2009, Arturo moved to Overland Park, Kansas before settling in Kansas City, Missouri. He helped manage restaurants and remodel homes living in Kansas City.
Arturo was an avid Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed a cold beer, had a friendly personality and was always social. Arturo just loved being around people.
Survivors include his children, Luis (Kayla) Ruiz, Luz Viviana Ruiz, and Carmen Ruiz all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Isaac, Edvin, Aaliyah, Angel, Ariana, and Adlynn; his father, Antonio Ruiz of Mexico; two brothers, Antonio (Cruz) Ruiz of Odessa, Texas and Ramon Ruiz of Mexico; three sisters, Rosa (Rene) of Mexico, Veronica (Francisco) of Mexico and Concepcion Ruiz of Mexico; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Arturo was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Cabral; brother, Martin; sister, Patricia; and a granddaughter, Daleyza.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Chavez, officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Interment will be in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Lexington.
Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
