Alma E. Leigh, 99, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at Good Samaritan Colonial Villa in Alma. She was born December 13, 1918, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Thomas C. and Hattie Ethel (Brown) Woodall. Alma grew up in Albuquerque, but then moved to Nebraska when she was a young girl. She graduated from Broken Bow High School. Afterwards she worked for a firm of Attorneys. Alma was united in marriage to Gage Wright in 1942. He passed away on March 1, 1951. On June 13, 1953, she married Delbert Leigh. One daughter was blessed to this marriage, Diane. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Broken Bow. In 1969, she took her State Boards to own an Abstracting & Title office in Broken Bow, she ran a very successful business for many years. Alma was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, and past president of Chapter S, P.E.O., in Broken Bow. She was a 50+ year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was also a member of Cosmopals. She did a lot of volunteer work, giving many years to the Red Cross Swimming program. Alma enjoyed camping, swimming, and being with family. She will be greatly missed by family, and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Don) Fegter of Republican City, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Scott (Julia) Fegter of Omaha, Nebraska, Erik (Shannon) Fegter of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Stefanie (Kory) Staab of Lincoln, Nebraska; three great-grandchildren, Grace and Carter Fegter, and Dru Staab; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one brother, and two sisters. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 8, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Callaway with Pastor Shanon Williams and Pastor Dave Irwin officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
