Dorothy Pratley Barner, 101, of Lexington, Nebraska, a former long time resident of Centralia, Washington, died Friday, November 19, 2010, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington, Nebraska. She was born February 8, 1909, in Centralia, Washington to Charles W. and Mary (Fuller) Pratley, the youngest of four children. She was the only one in the family not born in England. She grew up on Waunches Prairie and attended school in Centralia. She married Donald B. Barner in Centralia on February 15, 1928. She and her husband resided in Centralia until his death in 1994. They were married 66 years and lived in the same house for 63 years. She was a homemaker all her life and was a member of the Centralia Bible Chapel. After her husband’s death she moved to Lexington, Nebraska to be near her daughter. During the summer of 2010, at a family reunion in Lexington, Nebraska, many of her family members were able to celebrate her life. Dorothy’s survivors include one daughter: Geri (Leroy) Muzzey of Lexington, Nebraska One son: Donald (Marlene) Barner of Pullman, Washington She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum in Centralia, Washington with Mr. Dick Quarnstrom officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska and Newell-Hoerling’s Funeral Home in Centralia, Washington are honored to be in charge of arrangements.
