Lillie R. Kolb, 93, of Bertand, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Bertrand Nursing Home in Bertrand.
Lillie was born April 20, 1917, at Gering, Nebraska, to John and Mary (Schmidt) Rohnert. Lillie was baptized into the Christian faith. She moved with her family to Lexington in 1930, where she attended Horseshoe Bend country school. She was united in marriage to August Kolb on September 4, 1934, at Lexington, Nebraska. Two sons were blessed to this marriage; Russell Bruce & Ricky Lee.
The family moved to Lincoln in 1937, where Lillie was a homemaker and also worked at Elgin Watch Company and the Russell Stover Candy Company. Upon retirement, the couple moved to Johnson Lake, Elwood, Nebraska in 1970. In 2005, the couple moved to Park Avenue Estates in Lexington where they were living when August passed away in 2006. Lillie moved to Bertrand Nursing Home in Bertrand in September of 2010. Lillie and August were passionate Nebraska football fans.
Lillie was a friend of Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington, the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling, reading and fishing. Her greatest joy though, was her sons and their families. Lillie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will so very missed by those she left behind.

Scot (Krystal) Kolb of Omaha, Nebraska
Beth (Jean Pierre) Jacob of St. Andrede Boege, France
Lance (Jackie) Kolb of Beatrice, Nebraska
Fifteen great-grandchildren: Justin, Cody, Page, and Nash Kolb; Linsey Zastrow; Shawn and Sara Stoner; Laurne Kolb; Valentine, Severin, Mallory, and Alexa Jacob; Lance, Jr., Averi and Aiden Kolb.
One sister: Shirley Ford of Bertrand, Nebraska
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Lillie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, her parents; a daughter-in-law, Emily Kolb; one great-grandchild, Ryan Zastrow, and four brothers, Ben, John, Harry & Roy.
Funeral Services will be Monday, November 22, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Megan Morrow officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 21, 2010, from 2-4 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
