Jessie L. White, 83, of Kearney, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, died Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
She was born March 22, 1927, at Atlantic, Iowa to Roy and Mary (Judd) Fancolly. She attended school and graduated from Atlantic High School in Atlantic, Iowa with the class of 1946. She was united in marriage to Earl White on November 30, 1947, at Atlantic. Four children were blessed to this marriage; Alan, Arlyn, Paul and Carolyn.
Earl and Jessie loved children and they housed children in their home when they needed a place to live. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family had a large garden and shared the fruits of their labor with family and friends. Jessie loved doing crafts, sewing, woodcrafts, knitting and embroidery. She was good at anything she set her mind to. Jessie also loved to travel, was a generous host and loved spending time with her loving family. Jessie will be so very missed.
Survivors include one son: Alan and wife Jo White of Lexington, Nebraska
Two daughters: Arlyn and husband Lloyd Sisneros of Lexington, Nebraska
Carolyn and husband Riley Means of Kearney, Nebraska
One sister-in-law: Betty Fancolly of Atlantic, Iowa
Nine grandchildren: Stacey White-Nielsen and husband Mike of Phoenix, Arizona; Kylee & Josh Kuecker of Lexington, Nebraska; Nicholas White of Mesa, Arizona; Rachel Sisneros of Buckeye, Arizona; Rebekah & David Lopez of Lexington, Nebraska; Elizabeth & Alex Sorto of Lexington, Nebraska; Travis O’Brien of Holdrege, Nebraska; Tracey O’Brien of Minden, Nebraska and Kasey O’Brien of Lexington, Nebraska.
Ten great-grandchildren: Madelynn Nielsen of Phoenix, Arizona; Reese & Kipley Kuecker of Lexington, Nebraska; Gabriel & Finnian Darby of Buckeye, Arizona; Avry Lopez of Lexington, Nebraska; Jesse Coronado & Eva Sorto of Lexington, Nebraska; Dominique & Jordan Peterson of Minden, Nebraska. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 63 years, Earl in March of 2010; son, Paul in 1974, and one brother, John Fancolly.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathan Rhea and Pastor Victor Knowles officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Burial will be in Grace Cemetery west of Lexington, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
