Edgar Matias-Martin, 21, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Saturday, August 21, 2010, the result of a drowning accident near Brady. Edgar was born July 29, 1989, in Todos Santos Cuchumatan Huehuetenango Guatemala to Pedro Matias Pablo and Catarina Martin Jimenez. Edgar moved to Lexington three months ago where he worked for Tyson. He lived in Oakland, California two and half years prior to coming to Lexington. He enjoyed soccer, fishing & playing pool. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his parents. His wife Emiliana Ramos and one son Edward Fernando Matias Ramos of Lexington, Nebraska Two brothers: Rolando Matias Martin of Oakland, California Carlos Matias Martin of Michigan Two sisters: Marta Matias Martin of Seattle, Washington Otilio Matias Martin of Oakland, California Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Jorge Canela, officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Todos Santos Cemetery in Guatemala Visitation will be held Friday, August 27, 2010, from 1-6 p.m. with Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. both will be held at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
