Ardith West

Ardith West, 69, of Callaway, Nebraska, died Friday, July 23, at Callaway Good Samaritan Center in Callaway, Nebraska. She was born August 8, 1940, at Oconto, Nebraska, to Clyde and Kathryn (Noyes) West. Ardith lived the majority of her life with her parents in Oconto. She then moved to the Callaway Good Samaritan Center where she lived the past nine years. Ardith was born with Cerebral Palsy, but that didn’t stop her from having a big influence on her sibling’s lives. She made a big contribution to the family and always had a smile on her face. She also loved cats. Survivors include her brother: Donald (Karen) West of Canaan, New Hampshire Sisters: Virginia Varkony of Oconto, Nebraska Beverly (Marvin) Stivers of Callaway, Nebraska Ardith was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara, infant brother and brother-in-law John Varkony. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Oconto Community Center in Oconto with Reverend Douglas Jones, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway. The casket will be open one hour prior to service. Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
