Betty N. Daiss, 82 of Lexington died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.
Betty was born September 30, 1927 in Kechi, Kansas to Howard and Margaret (McCormack) Brockway.
Betty graduated from Valley Center High School, Valley City, Kansas in 1945 and then attended St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas for three years graduating with her degree as a Registered Nurse in 1950. Betty moved to the Lexington area in 1952.
On June 21, 1953 she was united in marriage to Howard Daiss in Lexington. The Couple moved to Fremont in 1963 until 1970 when they moved to Minnesota for twenty-one years and retired and moved back to Lexington in 1991. Betty cared for many patients during her nursing career from 1950 until 1974, including work at the Lexington Community Hospital. She was a secretary for a State Farm Insurance Agency in Minnesota from 1978 until 1990 and after retiring she continued working part time until 2008.
Betty was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. Betty enjoyed playing pinochle, knitting, crocheting and doing embroidery.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her Step Father DeLos McFadden, and one sister Kay.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 19, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Dean Hanson & Pastor Jim Witt officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington or American Cancer Society.
