Beulah M. “Bee” (Wind) Harper, 82, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Mesa. She was born July 17, 1927 in Dawson County, Nebraska, near Eddyville, to Ed and Elsie (Griffin) Mutchie.
Bee owned and operated the Busy Lunch Café, The Steakhouse, Mode-O-Day Dress Shop and Wind’s Wardrobe, all in Lexington. She moved to Mesa 21 years ago.
She loved to dance, travel, read, find treasures at garage sales and most especially being with her family.
Bee is survived by her husband: Robert C. Harper of Mesa, Arizona
Daughter: Cindy Wind Dutton and husband Terry of Mesa, Arizona
Sons: Chuck Wind and wife Ginny of Mesa, Arizona
Doug Wind and wife Mary Jane of Lexington, Nebraska
Rodger Wind and wife Effie of Danville, Illinois
Stepchildren: Carlene Russell and husband Gary of Des Moines, Iowa
Robert A. Harper and wife Kathy of Sun City, Arizona
Sisters: Doris Lemmer and Belle Malcolm both of North Platte, Nebraska
Sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Bee was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell and Charles and one sister, Emily.
The Family has honored Bee’s wishes that her body be cremated.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington, Nebraska with Ethel Fox, C.L.P. officiating.
Inurnment will be held prior to the Memorial Service at 9:00 a.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
