Robert Henry Green, 90, of Callaway, Nebraska, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at Callaway Good Samaritan Center in Callaway.
He was born January 7, 1920, at Des Moines, Iowa to Robert P. and Ruby (Boyle) Green.
The family moved to Colorado soon thereafter and eventually resided in Arvada, Colorado. He was a communications tech Sgt. in the United States Army 458th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion in the United States and France during WWII.
He later held management positions in Denver before moving to Barnstead, New Hampshire for several years. He spent a few years in Florida in management again before returning to Grand Lake, Colorado where he was part owner of a marina and later owned his own maintenance business. He retired to Florida with his brother for 10 years before moving back to New Hampshire and then to Callaway, Nebraska.
Robert is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara (Joe) Hickey of Gilmanton, NH
Peggy (Dennis) Hendricks of Callaway, NE
Three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Ellis) Green; three sisters, one brother, and sons, Kenneth and Michael Green.
The Family has honored Robert’s that his body be cremated.
A Memorial Inurnment service will be held at a later date in Colorado.
