Patricia Ann Branstiter, 67, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away from brain cancer on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at her home in Lexington surrounded by family and friends.
She was born August 7, 1942, at Syracuse, New York to Frederick and Helen B. (Lancette) Andrews.
Pat went to school in Syracuse and graduated from Solvay High School in 1960. After school she worked at K-Mart in Syracuse as a floor manager. She met the love of her life, Virgil, on a blind date and married Virgil “Brandy” Branstiter on July 19, 1977, at Syracuse, New York. The couple was blessed with one son, Tim.
When they moved to Lexington, Pat worked at Reach Electronics and Ben Franklin Store. She then went to work for Med-Pro which eventually became Sandhills Packaging where she worked for 19 years. Her fellow employees became her second family.
Pat had many joys in her life, the first and foremost was her loving family. She spent years bowling on the Twilight League for Dan’s Sanitation and also enjoyed reading. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always loved a good story. She could beat the pants of anybody she played Scrabble with and just ask about her grandkids and her face lit up!! She will be so very missed by her family and large circle of friends.
