Earl J. White, 92, of Kearney, of Kearney, Nebraska, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at his home in Kearney.
He was born December 22, 1917 in rural Dawson County, Nebraska to Clyde and Darlina (Beans) White, the 6th of 11 children. Earl was the last one in his family still living.
Earl attended rural school near Lexington and was united in marriage to Jessie L. Fancolly on November 30, 1947, at Atlantic, Iowa. Four children were blessed to this marriage; Alan, Arlyn, Paul and Carolyn.
He was a hard worker, he worked the land on the farm, he worked at Monroe Auto in Cozad and Orthman Manufacturing in Lexington.
Earl loved children and he and Jessie housed children in their home when they needed a place to live. He was a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather and always had a large garden which he shared with his loving family.
Earl is survived by his wife of 63 years: Jessie White of Kearney, Nebraska
One son: Alan and wife Jo White of Lexington, Nebraska
Two daughters: Arlyn and husband Lloyd Sisneros of Lexington, Nebraska
Carolyn and husband Riley Means of Kearney, Nebraska
Nine grandchildren: Stacey white-Nielsen and husband Mike of Phoenix, Arizona; Kylee & Josh Kuecker of Lexington, Nebraska; Nicholas White of Mesa, Arizona; Rachel Sisneros of Buckeye, Arizona; Rebekah (David) Lopez of Lexington, Nebraska; Elizabeth (Alex) Sorto of Lexington, Nebraska; Travis O’Brien of Holdrege, Nebraska; Tracy O’Brien of Minden, Nebraska and Kasey O’Brien of Lexington, Nebraska.
Ten great-grandchildren: Madelynn Nielsen of Phoenix, Arizona; Reese & Kipley Kuecker of Lexington, Nebraska; Gabriel & Finnian Darby of Buckeye, Arizona; Avry Lopez of Lexington, Nebraska; Jesse Coronado & Eva Sorto of Lexington, Nebraska; Dominique & Jordan Peterson of Minden, Nebraska.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Paul in 1974; four brothers and six sisters.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Nathan Rhea officiating.
Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery northwest of Lexington.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 8, 2010, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home.
