Lynda Lou (Otto) Biehl, 60, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.
Lynda was born January 18, 1950 in Manhattan, Kansas, to Dr. Lou and Marilyn (Larson) Otto. Her father moved the family to Arlington, Nebraska soon thereafter to begin his career in veterinary medicine. Lynda grew up in Arlington, where she attended high school and participated in a multitude of activities, including Girl’s State, sports, aquatics, and music. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1968, and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. While at UNL, Lynda was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, and majored in Physical Education with a minor in Music. She graduated from UNL in 1972. While at UNL, she met her husband, Dennis. The couple were married July 16, 1972 in Fremont, Nebraska, and moved to Lexington following their wedding.
In Lexington, Lynda touched many lives as an educator in P.E. and Reading for 25 years. She was a member of Chapter AN P.E.O., First Presbyterian Church, and various professional organizations. Lynda shared her musical talents with the community teaching piano lessons, accompanying musicians and playing the piano and organ.
She was an avid bridge player, a terrific cook, passionate shopper, a wonderful wife and loving mother.
Lynda also attained her Masters in Science Education, Reading Specialist from the University of Nebraska in Kearney in 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and attending her children’s activities, and, most recently, enjoyed doting upon her grandchildren, Carson and Burke.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis Biehl of Lexington, Nebraska

Two grandsons: Carson and Burke Jasa of Denver, Colorado

Sister: Janet (Dennis) Warner of Arlington, Nebraska
Brother: Dan (Melinda) Otto of Lincoln, Nebraska
Aunt & Uncle: Ginger Kjolhede and Larry Larson of Michigan
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Lou Otto and aunt, Janet Robinson.
The Family has honored Lynda’s wishes that her body be cremated. There will be no visitation.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Reverend Caroline Vickery officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department, the Lexington Community Foundation or the National MS Society.
