Martin Majok Theiran, 45, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
He was born May 15, 1964, at Bentiu, Sudan to Lam and Mary (Lam) Theiran.
Martin was a very kind, loving and caring man, who put the wants and needs of everyone before himself. He never knew a stranger, and made sure everyone was taken care of, whether it was picking up an old man off the sidewalk where he had fallen and then taking him home to be sure he made it safely, or carrying an elderly woman’s groceries almost a mile so she wouldn’t have to struggle.
If you needed 20 cents and he only had a dime, he would borrow the other so you could get what you needed. He did the things he did not for thanks or because he had to, but because that’s who he was, a beautiful man and a beautiful person. He was kind, gentle, and larger than life, he lived well, and loved better.
Martin loved to play dominos, spades, soccer with the boys and watch pro-football and basketball. He will be so very missed.
Martin is survived by his wife: Jonna Theiran of Lexington, Nebraska
His mother: Mary Lam of Bentiu, Sudan
