Lynn Purintun, 68, of Overton, Nebraska died at his home Wednesday, December 16, 2009, north of Overton.
He was born January 4, 1941, at Lexington, Nebraska to Floyd “Mike” and Lorraine (Miller) Purintun of Overton. He attended school in Sumner and Overton and graduated from Overton High School with the class of 1959. He then went on to further his education at Kearney State College.
Lynn was united in marriage to Nancy Rhoadarmer on August 19, 1962, at the United Methodist Church in Overton. Four children were blessed to this marriage; Jeff, Doug, Lori and Cari. Lynn and Nancy farmed their entire married lives and lived on the farm north of Overton.
Lynn was a past member of the Overton School Board, the Co-op as well as the United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing, playing cards and cribbage, attending his children’s school activities and having family close was always a priority. He was a man of his word and his character always spoke for itself. Lynn will be so missed.

Two daughters: Lori & Jim Peitz of Hartington, Nebraska and their children; Addison & Jake
Cari & Jeff Skinner of The Woodlands, Texas and their children; Andrew & Megan
One sister: Sharon & Ralph Waddington of Palisade, Colorado
Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law: Jerry & Clydene Purintun of Clinton, Oklahoma
Father-in-law: Clyde Rhoadarmer and his wife, Lois of Overton, Nebraska
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Jordan and mother-in-law, Doris Rhoadarmer.
Funeral Services will be Monday, December 21, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Overton with Reverend Katherine Bullard officiating.
Burial will be in the Overton Cemetery at Overton.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 20, 2009, from 2-5 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington, Nebraska.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers please, to the United Methodist Church or the Overton Fire Department.
