Opal Pearl Brucker

February 10, 1918 — September 29, 2009

Opal Pearl Brucker, 91, of Lexington, Nebraska died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at her home in Lexington. She was born February 10, 1918, at Okteo, Kansas to Gus and Pearl (Pike) Novotney. Opal attended school in Okteo. Opal married Charles Brucker on February 1, 1936, in Salina, Kansas. To this union two children were born: Charles Jr., and Beverly. The family moved from Kansas to Darr, Nebraska, in the early 1940’s and then moved to Lexington in the late 1970’s where they have lived ever since. Opal enjoyed baking, especially her pies and homemade cinnamon rolls. She also liked gardening and watching her dogs play. Opal is survived by grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, son, Charles Jr., daughter, Beverly Ann Rickerson, five brothers and two sisters. It was Opal’s wishes that her body be cremated and her ashes be inurned privately. Memorials are suggested to her Family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to: reynoldslovefuneralhome.com
