Gary L. Feddersen, 68, of Hastings, Nebraska, died Friday, September 18, 2009, at his home in Hastings. He was born December 4, 1940, at Lexington, Nebraska, to Don and Maxine (Koehn) Feddersen. Gary graduated in 1958 from Miller High School, the last graduating class prior to the school closing. Gary was able to attend his 50 year class reunion in 2008. Gary lived at Lexington following graduating from high school and worked at Monroe Auto in Cozad. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Bennett Feddersen and two daughters were born to this marriage; Lorinda and Ronda. He was then united in marriage to Vickie Albers on June 9, 1979 at Minden, Nebraska. He worked construction, helping build the Minden Beef Company and then went to work there for a time. Gary then worked at Lovett & Sons Packing in Hastings, moving there in 1987. He worked at Lovett & Sons until the plant closed, which was just a month shy of his retirement age of 62. In Gary’s younger years he enjoyed playing tennis, traveling and gardening. Gary had a very gentle spirit and easy-going manner about him. He will be so very missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife: Vickie Feddersen of Hastings, Nebraska One daughter: Lori Sabin of Quinlan, Texas His mother: Maxine Feddersen of Lexington, Nebraska Three grandchildren: Jeremy Feddersen of Cozad, Nebraska and Sean & Kaitlyn Sabin of Gothenburg, Nebraska One brother: Tom Feddersen of Kearney, Nebraska Nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Ronda Ramirez. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Ethel Fox, C.L.P. officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
