Charles D. "Chuck" Fletcher

Charles D. “Chuck” Fletcher, 71, of Cozad, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, died Friday, May 5, 2017, at CHI Good Samaritan - Kearney. Chuck was born November 20, 1945, in Wellfleet, Nebraska in Lincoln County, to Earnest Patrick and Fern Alta (Howard) Fletcher. He graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1964. Chuck grew up in North Platte and moved to Lexington in 1970. He was married to Betty Larson and four children were blessed to this marriage; Roger, Lynn, Jolene, and Kelly. The marriage would later end in divorce. He was then married to Harriette Lee. This marriage also ended in divorce. He was a hard worker throughout his life until his health forced him to retire. He worked mostly in the ranching/farming industries. He worked for Ed Olberg, the Lexington Sale Barn, IBP, and several ranchers around the area. In 2004, he was forced to retire. Chuck enjoyed riding bulls in area rodeos, hunting and fishing. His family meant the world to him, especially his wonderful grandchildren. He was a member of the catholic faith. Survivors include his children: Roger (Donna) Fletcher of Omaha, Nebraska, Lynn (Melissa) Fletcher of Omaha, Nebraska, Jolene (Chance) Hinojosa of Kearney, Nebraska , and Kelly Fletcher of Kearney, Nebraska; two brothers, Regis (Kendra) Fletcher of North Platte, Nebraska, Bobby (Dee) Fletcher of North Platte, Nebraska, and sister, Cathy (Doug) Harris of Lexington, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Carol Lee Fletcher of Wells, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren, Grace, Joey, Justin, Journy, Alicyn, Brenden, Carsten, Chandler, Angelique, Octavious, and Myah; three great-grandchildren, Skyla, Lexis, & Christina; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ellis; and nephew, Jeffrey Fletcher. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Reverend Neal Nollette officiating. Burial will be at Wellfleet Cemetery at Wellfleet, Nebraska. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.
