Pearl C. Anderson, 93, of Callaway, Nebraska, died Monday, March 6, 2017, at Callaway Good Life Center.
She was born May 11, 1923, in Brady, Nebraska, to Elmer and Alma (Elander) Sundquist. Pearl was a 1940 graduate of Brady High School. She then continued her education at Kearney State Teacher’s College. She taught for several years.
Pearl was united in marriage to Wayne Anderson on July 10, 1944, in Oberlin, Kansas. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Joyce, Terry, And Karen.
Pearl was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church in Callaway, and the Quilt Club. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, camping, and spending time with her family. She was musically talented as well, having taught herself to play the piano as well as the guitar. Following the death of Wayne, a little kitten showed up at the house, this little kitty would become a joy and comfort to Pearl. She named him Kitty Cat.
She was a loving mother, a giving grandmother, and beautiful friend.
Survivors include her children; Joyce (Ron) Zoerb of Littleton, Colorado, Terry (Reita) Anderson of Elm Creek, Nebraska, and, Karen (Richard) Lopez of Kearney, Nebraska; sister, Blanche Soderman of Gothenburg, Nebraska; six grandchildren; Michael Zoerb of Denver, Colorado, Robbi (Dan) Gould of Rapid City, South Dakota, Trina Miller of Kearney, Nebraska, Travis Anderson of Kearney, Nebraska, Meesha (Alan) Davis of Nixa, Missouri, and Christopher (Nicole) Lopez of Kearney, Nebraska; ten great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne in 2008; grandson, Marty in 2004; and an infant brother, John.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 10, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Callaway with Pastor Shanon Williams officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at the Timm-Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Callaway.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway.
