Myrna A. Woodside, 67, of Minden, Nebraska, died Saturday, August 1, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was born October 20, 1941 at Kinsley, Kansas to Wilbur and Ruth (Albers) Sater. Myrna attended and graduated from Oberlin High School with the class of 1959, in Oberlin, Kansas.
Myrna was united in marriage to LeRoy Woodside on September 13, 1964 in Grand Island, Nebraska. They lived in Lexington until 1970 and then moved to Gibbon. They bought and operated the bowling alley in Shelton, Nebraska until 1977. In 1977 they moved back to Lexington and she worked at Sperry New Holland until 1983 when they moved to Merna, Nebraska.
In 1993, Myrna and LeRoy moved to Mississippi and she worked at Casino Magic as a card dealer. The couple returned to Nebraska and moved to Minden where Myrna worked at Casey’s until her illness.
Myrna enjoyed camping and going to black powder shoots. She loved going to garage sales. She liked playing on the computer and playing Texas Hold-em. She also enjoyed taking pictures of her kids, pets and nature. She sewed all the girls’ aprons and enjoyed doing puzzles of all sorts, but jigsaw puzzles were her favorite.

Two daughters: Kimberly (Kirk) Carlson of Ralston, Nebraska
Billie (Lonnie) Root of Ocean Springs, Mississippi
Two stepdaughters: Laura Petersen and Kelly Bliven of Bertrand, Nebraska
One foster-daughter: Hannah (Kurt) Metzger of Lexington, Nebraska
One stepson: Mark Woodside of Kearney, Nebraska
Seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bud Sater; sister, Florine Laudick; one daughter, Joannie Marie; one son, Del Ray and one grandson, Cody.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Cemetery northwest of Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Michael Gruhn officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2009, from 4-8 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
