Humberto A. Avila, 42, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Saturday, July 4, 2009, north of Lexington as the result of a traffic accident.
He was born February 20, 1967, in Chichihualco, Guerrero, Mexico, to Bonifacio Avila and Rosa Arcos.
Humberto attended school in his hometown of Chichihualco, Mexico and emigrated to the United States in 1986, settling in Lexington in 1988. He was united in marriage to Cecilia Casillas in September of 1989.
Humberto was the plant manager at Nebraska By-Products in Lexington where he was hired on December 1, 1988. Humberto was a hard worker and well respected by his co-workers.
He loved being with his sons and friends and family. He enjoyed playing soccer and attending his sons’ activities.
Humberto was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

Humberto was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Father Paul Colling officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2009, from 1-5 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Wake/Rosary Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Burial will be held later in Chichihualco, Mexico.
