Patricia Ann Daleness

Patricia Ann Daleness, 56, of Kearney, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Kearney. She was born March 7, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Claude and Carmella (Misner) Day. Patricia would go on to earn her GED, and then her CNA. In 1998, she moved to Lexington. She worked at local care facilities, and when living in Lexington worked at Plum Creek Care Center. She was united in marriage to Averelle Daleness on March 15, 2002. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2016. The couple moved to Kearney in 2004. Patricia had many interests in her life, but none more important than family. She loved being with the grandchildren, and babysitting them whenever possible. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, coloring books, velvet arts, and all “Cop” shows. Survivors include her children; sons, Kenneth (JaCee) Lewis of Red Cloud, Nebraska, Nicholas Daleness and Shelby of Grand Island, Nebraska, Miguel Daleness of Kearney, Nebraska, Mary Tillemans and Zachary Cole of Kearney, Nebraska, Colleen Lewis of Kearney, Nebraska, and Michelle (Jay) Diraimodo of Collegeville, Pennsyvania; five brothers, Billy & Joseph Day of Cozad, Nebraska, Kenny Day of Pennsylvania, Finley Plenty Chief and fiance’ Glenda Aguilar of Grand Island, Nebraska, Fenton (Tamara) Daleness of Lexington, Nebraska; four sisters, Susan (Eugene) Farmer of Pennsylvania, Jackie (Leon) Stark of Delaware, Lenora Day and Steve Lauenstein of Hastings, Nebraska, and Dellarae Daleness of Lexington, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, three brothers, mother-in-law, and nephew. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery east of Lexington. Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
